It all started with a serious accident
Following In 1993 Luis suffered the nightmare of every enthusiastic sportsman: when skiing he plunged 4 metres. The devastating diagnosis of the doctors was a double vertebral fracture, just steps away from paraplegia. Having always been a nature lover, enthusiastic climber and skier he suddenly realised what this meant: a twist of fate which could take all the joy out of life.
It seemed that an operation was unavoidable but for Luis, that would entail the risk of losing his freedom of movement for the rest of his life. This nature-loving sportsman rejected this option and, full of confidence and thinking positive thoughts, he began seeking a different, natural way to recover his health.
The life-changing idea came from a friend who practised alternative medicine and who suggested radiation treatment with infrared deep warmth to heal the injury. In following this up, Luis learned a lot about the comprehensive effects of deep heat upon the entire body. The circulation is stimulated, the immune system strengthened, toxic materials are expelled, tension is relieved – the body releases its own powers of self-healing.
Natural healing with warmth
With single-mindedness and determination, Luis started by having his back radiated by an infrared lamp for 18 hours per day. The result was surprising. He felt better after only the first few days. As time passed, the pains began to recede, the tension was relieved and the bruises disappeared. His mobility returned and as early as three weeks after the accident he was on his feet again.
Luis is once more an enthusiastic climber and skier who continues to spend his whole leisure time enjoying the natural world. No trace of his accident has remained. He regarded the swift recovery in an entirely natural manner, solely based on the power of infrared deep warmth as a sort of miracle.
Using experience to help others

He started occupying himself intensively with the healing power of infrared deep warmth and developed the idea of using infrared not just for localised complaints but for the whole body. His conviction was that not only injuries, inflammations and other complaints could be treated in this way, but also that full body warmth therapy could strengthen the entire body and that the immune system in particular could be strengthened, in order to combat sickness in a preventive manner.
Together with a Tyrolean infrared scientist, he began to develop a health cabin which was to guarantee wellness and well-being and was cleverly designed in order to fit into every household. A normal power connection and plug socket are all that is needed to enjoy the positive effects of infrared deep warmth.
In 1995, he brought his first Far Infrared Sauna onto the market. Not long after that, he founded the Physiotherm company and a vision became reality. And even today, he still continues to spend half an hour every morning in the cabin he had erected in his bathroom. He knows better than anyone that deep warmth works.
