- Prof. Hademar Bankhofer
Prof. Hademar Bankhofer is an Austrian medical journalist, television health expert and best-selling author who has written more than 40 health guides. He has been serving the cause of health for more than 35 years, while “staying healthy” and finding out what it takes to stay healthy has always been an important concern. After pursuing studies in law, psychology, German literature and journalism, he devoted himself exclusively to the subject of health. For his work in the areas of medicine and preventive healthcare, upon proposal by the University of Vienna he was awarded the professional title of “Professor” by the Austrian Ministry of Science in 1991. Along with the physician Prof. Dr. Dietrich Grönemeyer and the researcher Prof. Dr. Gerd Kläske, he was named Germany’s “Medicine Guru of the Year” (Medizin-Guru des Jahres) in July 2008.
